Complete Education

At Yellow Wood Academy, we believe in the holistic development of our students, recognizing that education extends beyond just school. By merging our core curriculum, individual attention, group opportunities, arts, technology, and social-emotional learning, we craft a program that promotes learning and nurtures individual growth.

Hand-crafted Education Created For Them

Our philosophy is centered on providing each student with the necessary tools to support their unique educational journey. This involves creating a personalized program that considers the whole child, offering academic rigor while tailoring the pace, style, and projects to suit each student's interests. Our teachers understand when to provide additional time and support and when to encourage students to explore and expand. Our program honors every learner, including those who are gifted and accelerated. We welcome individuals dealing with anxiety, sensory overload, or those in need of extra support and structure.

Learning Together

Within our intentionally diverse and multi-age student population, differences are celebrated. We foster a safe community environment that encourages voice and choice in exploring real-world concepts. This environment not only pushes for self-growth but also emphasizes accountability. Our program can take a scaffolded approach to working with peers and preparing students for their imagined future.

Since attending Yellow Wood, [my son] has grown and matured into a different person. He has more confidence, his social skills are soaring, and [he] is dealing with his anxiety in a whole new way by taking more risks. I really believe that without so much pressure of a large school environment, [my son] has been able to calm his central nervous system (instead of being in fight or flight mode ALL the time) and actually use his brain both academically and emotionally.

Meeting Distinct Goals

AP, International Students, Missing Credits, and more:

Does your student need to get themselves back on the path to graduation? Forge a path into the American school system? Jump start early college? We can build them a program that will get them there and help them not only get through their schooling, but grow in it and take ownership of their own education. Our program models the State Standard to keep them on track. We also offer Honors and AP to let them forge ahead. We can craft a program that carves a pathway toward their future.
